A healthy body is the result of proper nutrition combined with a regular pattern of physical activity. While exercise imparts vigor and activity to all organs and serves to secure and maintain healthful integrity, all nutrients must be present in varying quanities in order for the body to maintain basic life processes.
Proper nutrition means that all essential nutrients- that is carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, minerals and water- are supplied and utilized in adaquate balance to maintain optimal health and well-being. No single substance will maintain vibrant health. Specific nutrients are known to be more important in the function of certain body parts, but even these nutrients are totally dependant upon the presents of other nutrients for their best effects.
Like wise it is important to have an exercise program that "fits" the individuals needs and capacities. Exercise should not be done for at least an hour after eating because physical exersion may impede digestion. Exercise should always be self-motivated and fun. Ideally it will include, a warm-up ( about 10 minutes), your chose of physical exertion, be it aerobic, stretching, muscle bulding,or toning, and finish with a cool down, a quiet gathering of you thoughts. Perhaps you may even take a moment to be thankful for your health and "pat yourself on the back!"

Whatever you do the important thing to remember is that you are improving and maintaining the funtion of your body, and regular exercise and balanced nutrition are two very important building blocks.
